Overview
An enterprise freight and logistics platform engagement focused on completing and operationalizing a client portal and supplier dashboard within a larger logistics environment.
The Challenge
The product Xupyter took over was already around 60% complete. The challenge was not starting a small application from scratch, but understanding an existing product, absorbing substantial business knowledge through meetings and knowledge transfer, and carrying the remaining work through to a production-ready system.
Freight operations also require high-volume data, multiple users, supplier-facing workflows, customer visibility, and dependable operational movement across the platform.
The Solution
Xupyter took ownership of the existing client portal and supplier dashboard, continued development from the existing state, and carried the product through to a working production system.
The work required close knowledge transfer, iterative validation, and taking responsibility for keeping the product moving rather than simply implementing isolated tickets.
Key Capabilities
- Client portal
- Supplier dashboard
- Freight workflows
- Shipment operations
- Fleet visibility
- Documents
- Customer workflows
- High-volume operational data
- Reporting and visibility
How It Works
Customers access relevant freight information through the client portal. Supplier-facing operations are handled through the supplier dashboard, while the broader platform supports shipment and operational workflows. Xupyter's role centered on completing and stabilizing the existing product rather than claiming ownership of the entire RXO public website.
Impact
The completed product is now serving thousands of users. The engagement demonstrates Xupyter's ability to take over an incomplete, business-critical system, absorb a complex existing workflow, and finish it into a working production product.
